Asiatype Inc., leading publisher of maps under the brand Accu-map, officially launched Vector, its very own portable navigation device that employs electronic maps, route plotting and rerouting, and turn-by-turn voice directions designed to help motorists easily find their way in and around the country.

The Jaguar Showroom in Makati opened its doors to Asiatype guests from TV and print media at 3pm on February 16, 2011. Media launch activities took off with the invitation to experience Vector navigation with test drives around the areas of Jupiter Street, Buendia and Makati Avenues.

Hosted by TV and stage personality Gabe Mercado, and TV host and model Karen Pamintuan, the event was jumpstarted with a team from Asiatype officially introducing present Vector to the press with videos and slides amid overflowing wine, cocktails, and hors d'oeuvre, plus raffle prizes that included Jewelmer pearls and of course a few units of the Vector V100 Portable Navigation Device.
